Is there a cost to visit Winter Wonderland?

Admission into Winter Wonderland is free, however, there is a fee associated with participating in some activities. Please visit our Features & Packages  page for full details.

Are there group rates?

Yes! We do offer group rates for ice skating for groups of 10 or more. For more information please visit our Features & Packages  page.

Are you open on Holidays?

We are open the following Holiday hours:

Christmas Eve: 2:00pm-10:00pm
Christmas Day:5:00pm-10:00pm
New Year’s Eve:         12:00pm-5:00pm
New Year’s Day:        2:00pm-10:00pm

When is Winter Wonderland most busy?

Generally all Friday and Saturday nights are considered to be the busiest. Following the Christmas Holiday most nights are busy as well.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the parking lot directly in front of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. On busier nights (Friday and Saturday) overflow parking is available at the Elks Lodge located just south of the Amphitheatre entrance, as well as R.B. Hunt Elementary School located half a mile north of the venue on A1A.

Are there any age requirements to ice skate?

There are no age requirements for ice skating. Please keep in mind that everyone on the ice must have ice skates, so young children may not be able to skate alone. Our skate sizes start at children’s size 9 and run through adult size 13.

What are the height requirements?

Riders must be at least 36 inches tall to ride the Ice Chute and must ride with an adult unless they are 42 inches or taller.

What size skates do you carry?

We carry children’s 8 through an adult 13. There are no gender specific skates, all skate sizes are generic sizes.

Is there ever a wait to enjoy the ice rink?

On busier nights (Friday and Saturday) there is often a wait for specific skate sizes. Depending on the size, your wait time could be between 10-45 minutes. The ticket booth will have an estimated wait time for you when you purchase tickets.

How do I know my skate size?

Ice Skates generally run smaller than your sneaker sizes. A good rule of thumb is one size smaller than your sneaker size for men and two sizes smaller than your sneaker size for women.

Are they hockey or figure skates?

We offer both.

Do you serve food & drinks?

We do! We have a large selection of food and drinks available including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We also have an S’mores Pit with s’more kits available for purchase. All of our concessions are run by PCI Concessions.

Can I bring my own food & drink?

No, outside food & beverages (including s’more supplies) are not permitted.

Is the ice real?

Yes, the ice is real! Please be advised that dependent on the temperature, the ice conditions may be wet!

It’s December 25th, where’s Santa?

Santa takes his vacation after his long Christmas work day. His last day for visits is December 24th.

Does the temperature affect the ice?

Of course! If it is warmer out, the top of the ice will be wetter than on a colder day.

Will I have to wait in line?

Some activities do tend to form a line. Generally speaking, lines will be the longest on Friday & Saturday nights.

What are the rules for Ice Chute/Ice Skating?

Each ticket is a revocable license to attend the event/attraction listed on the front of the ticket and is subject to the full terms found here at www.winterwonderlandflorida.com and the terms, conditions and liabilities stated on website and signage placed at event/attraction entrances. The ticket holder understands that ice skating and ice chute is a HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY.  Such license may be revoked without refund for noncompliance with terms. Holder assumes all risks occurring before, during or after event including injury by any cause, and releases management, facility, participants, and their respective affiliates and representatives from any related claims.  To the extent permitted by law, the holder hereby releases, waives, discharges and holds harmlessSt.JohnsCounty and assumes full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage, due to the negligence of St.Johns County upon the premises and/or while using the premises or facilities or equipment thereon.
